The “Horse Camp” Equestrian Center, managed by the Irakò A.S.D. is located inside the park of Cala dell’Arena and is a structure created to offer all enthusiasts an unforgettable experience to live on horseback. Possibility of lessons in the field, walks and excursions for all ages, along the internal paths of the park or in the beautiful reserve of Monte Cofano

Our passion.

In the early 2000s, an imposing structure oriented towards the world of equestrian breeding was born in Macari (San Vito Lo Capo). The structure immediately specialized in the care and development of the Arab equestrian breed, with ANICA certificates, thus allowing the original bloodline to be handed down. The best specimens competed for important national and international equestrian morphology exhibitions, collecting a beauty record on several occasions.

After a decade of activity, the company decided to change assets and started to promote sports activities within its walls. There, it organized events and gatherings with the best stud farms in southern Italy, promoting collaboration and interaction between the different realities, which shared his love for horses and in particular for the sport of Endurance.

A further evolution allowed the sports club to change, founding an amateur sports association in 2018, so as to get closer to a wider audience in the equestrian world, thus allowing all lovers to experience emotions in the saddle, right in front of the structure, along the beaches and paths of the beautiful Monte Cofano Nature Reserve.

The equestrian center

The Horse Camp equestrian center offers large spaces inside for all lovers of the world of horse riding.
In fact, there are forty extra large boxes, ten with attached private paddock at the back and two boxes for mares, with inspection portholes. Two equine shower rooms, saddlery, feed storage and a large two-story barn are also available.
The field is perfectly convenient for school, being practical with its small size.
Inside the complex there are refreshment areas with an attached bar and toilets for all our members.
